Finally I had a long-awaited opportunity to use broncolor Picolite 1600 Watt/Second lamphead with broncolor Projection Attachment while shooting the digital cover of Harper’s Bazaar KZ May issue with the stunning model Achok Majak @from RED.
Picolite is a small head that has a built-in 130° reflector. For this flash head a power supply is needed, therefore I used my beloved broncolor Scoro E 3200 power pack. Keep in mind that modeling light is a must to see the exact edges of the light.
Then I’ve attached broncolor Projection Attachment to Picolite. This 100mm lens projects a hard edge circle of light without color fringing. It also has four sliding barndoors to create the sharp edges. And this is exactly what I’ve used to create the straight line on model’s face:
I’m absolutely in love with the Picolite and the Projection Attachment. It’s been refreshing for my beauty portfolio. I’m definitely going to buy more gobo patterns for projecting designs on models or backgrounds. More creative experiments with lighting are coming very soon.
